Warranty, repair and spare parts
In addition to social responsibility and fashionable design, Ethnotek stands for the highest quality in the processing of its products. This is why Ethnotek offers a long, worldwide manufacturer's guarantee for bags and backpacks that goes far beyond the industry standard.
Ethnotek products are made from durable, industrially manufactured components and traditional handcrafted fabrics.
These components differ in terms of material and manufacturing. Therefore, within the scope of the guarantee, a distinction is made between handmade and industrial components:
- 1 year warranty for all artisan components
- 2-year warranty for all industrially manufactured components
- 30-year guarantee for the Raja 46, Raja 30 and Acaat Messenger products
In the event of a warranty claim, send photos of the defect and the purchase receipt/order ID in a short email to hello@ethnotek.de.
We always try to repair the product first. If that is not possible, you will receive a new one. If it is no longer available, you will receive a voucher for the purchase price.
There are also exceptions to the guarantee. A good question to ask in the event of damage is: Did Ethnotek make a mistake in the selection of materials or in the processing, or was the damage caused by another reason, such as normal wear and tear or external force? (More on this in our terms and conditions.)
In the latter case, our affordable repair service is the right choice or it may simply be time for a new bag.
Sharp stones, pickpockets, campfires and luggage belts are all known dangers for your bag. Sooner or later it can happen: slashed, singed, buckle broken?
No problem - we keep all important spare parts in stock in Germany and work with a specialist workshop.

The repair service for small kinks and seams usually costs €10 plus postage, most parts are free. More complex work will be discussed with our seamstress and with you.
We believe that the best bag for our planet is still the one that is worn for a lifetime and does not end up in the trash.
Ethnotek’s voluntary manufacturer’s guarantee does not affect or restrict the customer’s rights under the statutory warranty.
